Short Book Description:
She thought her days of hiding were over . . . but the danger has just begun
The day Danielle Harding takes her eleven-year-old son and flees from her abusive husband is the same day Kurt Harding dies. A relieved Dani believes she and her son are finally safe–but in reality, things are just heating up. When Kurt was alive, he took something important from a mysterious individual–who wants the item back and believes Dani now has it. As she and her son run for their lives, they have nowhere to turn, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, she won’t be able to hide for long . . .
From the first breathless scene, this tension-laced story will hold you in its iron grip as bestselling author Lynette Eason propels you along in a race to discover the truth.
I loved this book and couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. I love suspenseful books and if there’s a bit of romance thrown in for good measure, I’ll read it.
Lynette is a new favorite author of mine and I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of her books. She is a good writer and thinks out her plots thoroughly, keeping you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ guys are.
I loved all the ‘good’ characters in this book and can’t come up with a favorite at all. Everyone was very ‘human’ and had the same troubles that anyone could face in their life. Though I do have to say, I really liked Simon, he was brave and heroic, trying to stand up for his mother and himself.
I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I decided to skip reading the excerpt for it at the end of the book since it usually makes me quite impatient for the next book to come out. If you like a good thriller that’s Christian based, I would totally recommend this author and her books.
