Author: Dee Henderson
Series: An O’Malley Love Story
Genre: FICT, Contemporary Fiction
It’s a summer of change for Jennifer O’Malley.
The busy physician has a pediatrics practice in Dallas, Texas, and meeting and falling in love with surgeon Tom Peterson is adding a rich layer to her life. She’s sorting out how to introduce Tom to her family–she’s the youngest of seven–and thinking about marriage.
She’s falling in love with Jesus too, and knows God is good. But that faith is about to be tested, and in a way she didn’t expect. The results will soon transform her entire family.
Although this book was quite short, I really enjoyed it. Although I haven’t ready any of the books in the O’Malley series, I believe this is a really good introduction to them.
This book goes through quite a few months of Jennifer O’Malley’s life as a physician. In the beginning Jen is a single doctor who specializes in kids and loves them like they were her own. That is when she meets a Tom a surgeon in the same hospital and her life takes a pleasant turn.
After Tom has convinced her to come to church one Sunday, Jen feels herself slowly to become closer to God and to finally give herself to him. Her joy knows no bounds until she gets the most devastating call of her life.
If you haven’t read this book yet, I highly recommend that you do. I’m sure that you will enjoy this book as much as I did. It’ll only take you a little while to read and you won’t believe that when you finally close the covers around the pages that you are done already.
