Review: The Haven
Author: Suzanne Woods Fisher
Series: Stoney Ridge Seasons #2
Spring brings new life, young love, and second chances to Stoney Ridge.
On a warm spring day, Sadie Lapp returns home to her quiet, unassertive life in Stoney Ridge after spending the winter in Ohio.
Gideon Smucker, an awkward schoolteacher, has been in love with Sadie since childhood and eagerly awaits her return. But does Sadie feel the same about him?
Will Stoltz, a charming and impetuous college student, has been banished for a semester and sent to babysit endangered peregrine falcons nesting at the Lapp farm. He’d rather be anywhere else . . . until he befriends Sadie.
As the hopes and ambitions of these three young people converge, life in Stoney Ridge may never be the same.
Once again, bestselling author Suzanne Woods Fisher intrigues and delights with a story that explores the bonds of friendship, family, and true love in this captivating series.
Sadie Lapp has just arrived home from living with her sister and brother-in-law. One thing that nobody counts on is what she brings with her……..You have to read it your self to find out.
Gideon, a man she has been corresponding with while she was away from home, is happy to see she is home. But when rumors start circling around about Sadie, he doesn’t know if he wants to continue to court her.
On thing that neither count on is a young birder who has just moved into a cabin on the Lapps’ farm. When Will starts to hang around the house, Sadie finds that she is getting sweet on him. A thing that is forbidden in her Amish heritage because he isn’t Amish.
Another book by Suzanne Woods Fisher! Who doesn’t enjoy a Christian novel with a little bit of romance in them. Especially if it is pure and wholesome, not like a lot of the stuff you find in stores these days.
Note: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in return for an honest review. These are my words 100%.
